A.G. Coombs Service Technician, Justin Newcomb, wins two service awards

A.G. Coombs’ Service Technician, Justin Newcomb, was today the proud recipient of two awards, for his outstanding contribution to the 530 Collins site.
530 Collins Management presented Justin with the "Incident & Injury Free Award", an award of excellence for outstanding commitment to the Incident & Injury Free program, and the "Teamwork Award", an award of excellence for selfless contribution and assistance to other Team Members.
Justin has worked as the lead Service Technician on Melbourne’s 530 Collins site for 16 months. 530 Collins is one of Melbourne's largest premium office buildings. Owned by the GPT Wholesale Office Fund (GWOF), the building has adopted significant sustainability measures that aim to deliver a 5 star NABERS Energy rating in 2011.
"At 530 Collins, we have a high focus on safety, customer service and teamwork. Justin’s contribution in these areas is to be commended", David Petfield, General Manager 530 Collins stated.
During his time at the site, Justin has been managing and mentoring onsite A.G. Coombs apprentices, as well as managing the works undertaken by specialist technicians.
Responsible for all mechanical maintenance works at the site (excluding lifts), Justin and the team continually deliver above and beyond the standard scope of work, leading to this significant recognition of Justin’s work.
"I am deeply honoured to have received both awards", said Justin. "In my six and a half years at A.G. Coombs, I have learned that we are not just about air conditioning; we are building service specialists who are here to make an entire building run effectively. I work to look after the building’s people as well as the building itself. I could not have achieved such recognition without the training and good work ethic of A.G. Coombs, and the support of the entire team – my managers, fellow technicians and the apprentices".
For both awards, Justin excelled over approximately 60 contenders. His achievements reflect the ongoing commitment to safety and teamwork openly displayed across the whole A.G. Coombs Group.
